TON is a one of world’s oldest manufacturer of bent furniture from Bystrice nad Hostynem in Czech Republic. All the furniture made in TON factory are bent manually since 1861 when company was founded.
TON’s tables and chairs become a connection of quality, innovative shapes and a legacy to the place that has learned to understand the wood for generations.
We have approached TON few month ago with a humble proposal to be test our material for upholstery application. The tests are still in progress and we are hoping to hear the results in next few months.
For the occasion of our participation at the Designblok Prague (Czech Republic) TON has manufactured their award winning Leaf bar stool using Malai as an upholstery material. The stool received great feedback from the audience who tested it on the spot.
